I Have All the Colours
I have all the colours.
Red Ochre, slate grey, golden brown
And greens of all the hues.
Colours to paint the land that
Births me anew, cleans and renews.
The place where water tumbles and dances
In the shimmering light.
~~~~
I have all the colours.
Buttercup yellow, dusty violet bells of blue
And firey orange, burning red, then white.
Fire and water, fire of circle
Births me anew, cleans and renews.
This is the land where flames warm the bones
In loving company.
~~~~~
I have all the colours.
Can I gather them? Tentatively clasped
In quivering fingers, to carry with me on the journey?
Yes! I carry the colours behind my eyes,
In my heart and in the memories
Of my mothers, my sisters and daughters.
I am birthed anew, cleaned and renewed
As we sit, weaving the colourful threads
Into Goddess Eyes.
I have all the colours.
